Someone who has captained us through wormholes, made us travel back in time, saved Gotham City and made us wonder about the science behind what we have just witnessed, now brings us a movie which reverses the flow of time. If it is about having a cinematic experience then it is a Christopher Nolan movie. In this era where now no epic movies are made but rather sequels, prequels and remakes are preferred we are still blessed with someone who believes in not only making rather innovating cinema to provide a life-lasting experience.

TENET explores the espionage world of secret agents with a generic spy-movie's plot about a new man being recruited to pull-off a job to save the world while Christopher Nolan does not misses his chance on expressing his love for the non-linear notions of time and science fiction. 'Backwards entropy and reversed flow of time' are enough terms to explicit the brilliant and newfangled mind of the writer-director. While Christopher Nolan has given a broader meaning to the time-travel genre it is also true that 'character development' was not properly engrossed in the writing. However, it does feel adequate with respect to the plot and the rules that abide. It does seems to be ungraspable at some plot points. While watching for the first time it is difficult to catch-up to the details it becomes easier to fully appreciate the story after multiple viewings.

Hans Zimmer who is Nolan's usual partner while scoring his movies missed out in TENET. However, it is commendable that Ludwig Göransson was able to step into his shoes. The background score though too loud was quintessential for this distinctive movie.

The movie is cinematic and is meant to be cherished in the theatrical atmosphere. It is both stunning and exuberant visually. It also shows us that it was heavily laboured that is the writing, editing and action sequences were well planned and executed masterfully. It is a must watch if audiences want to transport themselves into a world that transcends real-life and also gives a glimpse of extraordinary imagination something which still gives movies the meaning of cinema.
